Travel Do’s and Don’ts With Your Vuse
Planning to take a trip with your Vuse and not sure about what you can and can’t do along the way? Don’t worry we are going to give you some tips on how to safely and properly travel with your vape. First things first – always check the laws and regulations of the countries you will be traveling in, as these vary from country to country.
According to The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) passengers who are packing their (Vuse) device in checked luggage should confirm their device is “completely switched off and effectively protected from accidental activation”. Passengers must also ensure their devices aren’t in the same bag as flammable materials, such as perfumes. However, the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) has banned the transportation of vaping devices in checked luggage altogether and 191 countries use ICAO guidelines to make their flight laws.
To stay on the right side of most regulations, carry your device in your hand luggage, make sure it is completely switched off (and packed in a way that will prevent it from accidentally switching on), and not with flammable items. You should also remember that your Vuse eLiquids and flavour cartridges count as liquids when you are passing through security, so they may not be allowed onboard.
When you’re at the airport – of course, be sure to look for the designated smoking sections. It is likely prohibited to vape elsewhere.
When taking public transport – it is likely that most airport transportation will not allow vaping on the buses, cars and trains. However, some will have marked sections where vaping is allowed, so be on the lookout for these.
You’ve arrived – once at your destination, if you are staying in a hotel, be sure to follow the hotel’s rules about smoking. Check with them about their policies in advance, so you can request a smoking room or a room with a balcony if needed. They may also be able to tell you about common areas throughout the premises where vaping is allowed.
Hotels - A hotel room is a private space so if you’re alone you won’t bother others by vaping – however, to be on the safe side, you should ask the hotel staff what their in-room vaping policy is when you check in. If they ask you not to vape in the room, it will give you the chance to find out where the acceptable vaping areas are in the hotel.
Once you’re on your way, be sure to have a pleasant journey and enjoy your Vuse in new surroundings!
